Downstairs bathroom...
After the inspector passes it off we're ready to pour cement and tile. I've really enjoyed this since it's completely different from what was already in there. The hole in the upper right hand corner is from the plumber. When he filled up the drain pipe, water sprayed everywhere. Turns out he never connected the two pipes in the ceiling. Plumbing is roughed in now. We have water!!!
dad was just doing this same exact thing in their downstairs bathroom. it looks so good now. you should get them to post some good pics of their project. it looks really good down there. sad you had to tear out all the tile. how are things going?
So, those inspectors that have been so hard on us, just gave us the approval to turn on our electricity, so we should have the electricity turned on by Wednesday! Woo Hoo! Thank you inspectors! It only took 6 months to get it turned on!
Home Sweet Home
Where to begin...
Courtney and I have moved to Birmingham! And of course couldn't stand to buy a new home, so we bought this foreclosure. Our neighbor (who's 101 yrs old and sharp as a tack) told us the guy spent a year and a half fixing it up. When the bank foreclosed on him, he came in with three moving trucks and all his family and ripped out everything (including the outlets). We just got done fixing our first home in Montgomery (see link below), so we thought we'd try and kick it up a notch. We're living in an apt and trying to get this thing livable (not done) in the next three months. We hope to be finished within a year. Honey, please pass me the hammer (and an ibuprofen).
